Instructions for Oral and Poster Presentations

Please check whether your paper(s) has been assigned to an oral or poster session and follow the corresponding instructions given below for your presentation.

Oral Sessions

  • The presentation should be created in the format of MS Power Point.
  • In case you need any equipment other than a laptop, an LCD projector and an overhead projector, you should contact organizing committee to check whether it is possible to provide such equipment.
  • You should be in the oral sessions room at least 10 min in advance of your session.
  • Each paper is allotted 20 min on the timetable. You will have 15 min at your disposal to present your paper and the demonstrations (if any). The remaining 5 min are reserved for an introduction by the chairperson and questions after the speech. It is very important that you restrict your presentation to 15 min so that the 20 min limit is not exceeded.
  • The chairperson will let you know when the time limit is near. If your speech is not yet over at that time, they will ask you to present the conclusions.

    Poster Sessions

  • You should be in the room where your poster is to be installed at least 15 min in advance of the session in order to set up your poster and meet the chairperson of your session.
  • The poster board dimensions will be approximately 100 cm wide and 120 cm high. Your poster should not exceed these dimensions.
  • There will be no facilities for copying, magnifying or doing any processing whatsoever with originals.
  • You will often have to explain your poster. Please prepare a one or two minute presentation and a longer presentation for people who manifest a deeper interest in your research.
  • To be effective your poster must be more visual than textual!
